Quilts for Haiti
This morning I had a good laugh. After creating a Google account it brought me to a blog i started 2 years ago. I did not write down the information and did not remember where I created this blog and never posted again. Well this is my 2nd post 2 years later. i have made many projects in the last 2 years and will post with pictures. After the Haiti disaster. Bonnie Hunter posted info about Lutheran World Relief receiving quilts for Haiti. i made 2 using Bonnie's simply Strippy pattern on her blog and 2 using African fabric from squares i purchased from a booth in Houston in 2007.

Today I start a quilting blog!!
I have been having fun creating with my grandaughters as school has finished and we have some time together now. They made flips flops covered with fabric strips. They were cut on the bias to prevent raveling. Each strips was about 1/2 wide and 7 inches long. After each was tied in a square knot the strips were trimmed if they were too long. Kenzie gave hers quilt a cut and Michelle and Danielle's were about 6 to 7 inches. Each girl chose 5 fabrics from my stash and I did the cutting. I wil post a picture soon.
